Cleaner PDF rendering and fewer crashes when printing to TaxDome from tax software — so what the client receives matches what you printed.
Managed installers and multi-user sessions on RightWorks, Verito, and similar hosted Windows environments — ready for the v3 sunset cutoff.
Start a multi-document tax return delivery from the desktop app. Select several uploaded files and send them as one client-facing TRD package — without switching to the web.
After upload, configure link to job, lock to invoice, request approval, and request signature in one web flow — then send the full package to the client. Restores the v3 pre-send workflow for year-round firms.
Upload several files for one client in a single session. Pick the client once; assign a folder per file (or apply one folder to all, then override). Rename each file before upload.
Clients you uploaded to recently appear at the top of the picker — less scrolling through long client lists.
If you keep uploading to the same folder, the app remembers and pre-selects it on the next upload.
Focus lands in client search automatically; arrow keys move through the list — no mouse required.
Drop files onto the TaxDome Desktop upload window to start an upload — same as v3 drag-and-drop.
Suggest a filename from document content — e.g. "2024 Form 8879 — John Smith".
Keep tax-software PDF bookmarks when printing to TaxDome — not one flat PDF without navigation.
Request signature, link to job, or notify the client from a file in Windows Explorer — v3 Drive context menu parity.
Right-click any file in Windows Explorer and send it to TaxDome to start an upload — even outside the Drive.
Scan paper documents from a TWAIN-compatible scanner straight into a client folder in the desktop app.
Run TaxDome Desktop natively on Mac — no Parallels or Windows VM required.
Validated ideas with no committed window. Includes low-priority UX and longer-term bets.
Keep filters and sort order in upload history between sessions. Low priority — not planned for the near term.
One batch where each file goes to a different client. Requires a confirmation step before send. Separate from same-client multi-file upload; not on the near-term plan.
When you upload a final return or deliverable, the linked job advances to the next pipeline stage automatically.
Define your firm's naming convention once and apply it on every upload.
Let common backup tools recognize TaxDome Drive as a normal local drive.
A simple local snapshot of your TaxDome working folder.
Toggle in settings to surface archived accounts in Drive — for firms that use archived accounts in backup workflows. v3 parity. UX TBD (per-firm setting since use cases vary).
Multi-doc TRD from desktop — throughput for high-volume return delivery.
Several files, one client, per-file folder — the multi-upload model for mills (not multi-client batching).
Stable print-to-TaxDome from Drake, UltraTax, and similar.
Bookmarked PDFs from tax software stay navigable after print.
Post-upload web stepper: link to job, lock to invoice, approval, signature — one send to client. Parallel to TRD for non-tax work.
Batch upload for one client with per-file folders — bookkeeping, payroll, advisory docs.
Drop files onto the upload window.
Advance the job when you upload a deliverable.
Extension-season batching — not same-client multi-upload; backlog only.
Installers, AppData paths, and multi-user sessions for RightWorks and Verito.
Recent clients first in the picker.
Remember last folder per workflow.
Type and arrow-key through clients.
Saved history filters — backlog, low priority.
AI filename suggestions on rename.
Firm-wide naming templates.
Client name prefilled when you rename an upload.
Signature, link to job, notify from Explorer.
System-wide Send to TaxDome.
Third-party backup tools recognize Z: drive.
Built-in Drive snapshot backup.
Surface archived accounts in Drive — v3 parity for firms running backup workflows.
Print quality and stability improvements.
TWAIN scan into client folder — TX-1899 scanner segment.
Native macOS desktop — discovery and build TBD.
